Fishco Innovation LLC is an invention and design company that develops groundbreaking new concepts for licensing to the consumer product industry. Originally established in Brooklyn in 2008, Fishco now operates out of a repurposed 18th century farm in New York’s Catskill Mountain region. This setting provides a work environment of inspiration and fresh outlook far removed from the grasp of urban routine.

Fishco was born of a need to fill a void left behind by outsourcing of R&D by North American manufacturers. Specifically, there has been a growing trend of reliance on overseas manufacturing partners to supervise many aspects of preliminary design, and the scaling down of stateside engineering. Although there exists a growing global community of talented engineers, the role of these partners leans more toward solving supply chain problems, scheduling, safety controls and cost. When the essential tools needed to innovate only exist overseas, the lack of in-house prototyping and engineering can cause a break in a creative team’s dynamic at a crucial stage where the vision is evolving. Through prototyping and preliminary engineering, we aim to work through unforeseen glitches, prove out mechanisms and provide fully formed, production ready concepts for turnover.
